Beautiful Color Combinations

How wonderful are all the beautiful colors God has given us.  I just love to see  inspiration challenges that combine beautiful colors together.  Of course, it always helps when the Design Teams take those lovely colors and inspires you so wonderfully.  Such is the case in the current challenge at The Shabby Team Room where they have inspired you to use beautiful shades of cream/white along with blue, pink and also bring in flowers and fabric.  What a lovely combination, and DO stop by to check out the DT inspiration.  It will surely make you want to play along.  And, to make it even more wonderful (if that's possible), just wait until you see their generous prize this week from the wonderful sponsor, Just Rite Stamps.

Here is the color inspiration photo:
I decided to use some new Crate Paper Pretty Party collection patterned papers, chipboard embellishments and goodies I just got in the mail from an order I placed at Emma's Paperie.  I also used some vintage trims, PTI jute, The Twinery's Bakers Twine, a Kaiser Crafts wooden dress form, a couple of October Afternoon stickers, some machine stitching, and a vintage dress pattern on the base.  This is my card.
And here is the link to the challenge at The Shabby Tea Room.  They would love to have you play along.

Buttons and Bows

Another day, another new card, and few more new challenges as well.  Sometimes I ask myself why I keep trying.  It's all in fun.  At least I would have to say that if I no longer find it fun, I shouldn't keep crafting.  Since I continue to spend my children's inheritance on scrapbooking supplies (LOL...just kidding), I had better enjoy it.  I do love making cards and scrapbooks.  It's just been a bit more of a chore since I've been "on the mend", and I'm really looking forward to seeing by best friend, Patti Lyn, this summer and crafting with her.  Now, that's FUN.

This is my Design Team card for this week's new challenge over at Word Art Wednesday where I have posted some exciting news about our upcoming challenges and secondary sponsors.  We would be delighted to have you join our weekly challenges there.

I am also going to enter my little card in the following challenges:

Thank you for stopping by today, and for being such a constant source of encouragement to me.  I am so grateful for the friends I've made here in blog land.  I enjoy visiting your blogs as well, and want you to know that I am grateful for each one of you who stops by to visit.  Have a blessed day.

A Big Congrats 2 U

I made this little card for a friend of mind who just found out she is expecting a baby girl.  She and her husband have been trying for quite some time to have a baby, and she always dreamed of (and prayed for) having a sweet little girl.  She just found out that her prayers have been answered.  So, I thought I'd make this little card for her.  How exciting!  I remember those days in my life.  Now, I'm just enjoying my kids at 12, 19 and 25, and looking forward to grandchildren.

I learned of a wonderful challenge, and really wanted to enter it.  Kimberly has a beautiful blog, and sells the most precious seam binding and other goodies on her lovely blog.  Check it out  by clicking here:  The Craft Spot - You will thoroughly enjoy her blog, her challenges, and her beautiful embellishments for making cards.

Here is her challenge link:
http://craftspotbykimberly.blogspot.com/2012/05/monday-challenge-56-congratulations.html - Challenge #56 - Congratulations

I'm also entering these fun challenges:

I wanted to share one last thing before I sign off today.  As some of you know, I've been struggling with my foot (recovering from surgery), and I found today that I have an infection in my incision (I think from swimming the other day), and I also fell down the stairs yesterday and hurt my right leg.  With all these aches and troubles with my right leg, I've been feeling "down" lately.  Then, today while at the McDonalds drive-through getting my iced coffee, I saw a man with no right leg.  He was going into the restaurant.  It put things in perspective for me.  I will just guess that the man would love to be in my situation with aches and troubles with his right leg, but instead he has no right leg/foot.  It made me very humbled and very thankful that I have a right leg to even have these troubles.  God really showed me that I cannot take anything for granted, and that He is in control.  Others suffer too, often times more than we do.  We need to count our blessings, and pray for the needs of others.  I know I will get better.  I'm SO thankful.

Life is Difficult

Oh my, life is certainly difficult.  I hate to complain, because God has been SO good to me in every way.  I'm recovering from my surgery and getting stronger each day, my family has been wonderful, my life is filled with blessings, and I have a happy life.  But it sure is difficult when Satan digs his way in there and tries to get us to doubt God's love and plan for us.  I was coming down the stairs, which is tricky for me anyway because of my foot, and I slipped and fell.  I hurt my knee pretty badly.  I immediately called out to God for help.  I begged for His healing, His hand of comfort, and His love.  He heard me and gave me the ability to walk downstairs to the couch.  I'm laying here with ice on my knee, but I'm in a decent amount of pain.  I am just praying that there is no significant damage.  I KNOW that God is in control.  Life is difficult, and I could never do it with out Him.

I made this Father's Day card for my Dad.  He is a pilot, retired from the Air Force, so I thought it was fitting for him.  I hope he likes it.
I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/make-it-monday-67-participants.html - PTI Make it Monday #67 - Step it Up/Mixing Patterned Papers.  I used my PTI star border punch.

Trust in the Lord

This week at Word Art Wednesday the free scripture/word art is Psalm 62:8 which speaks of TRUST.  God's Word has much to say about trust.  As humans, we tend to want to take comfort in the things we know; such as people, place or memories that make us comfortable.  But God's Word tells us that we need to trust in Him.  God can give us strength when we are weak, a place to hide when we are scared, peace when we are worried, and it pleases Him when we place our trust in Him.  I hope that you will stop by Word Art Wednesday and play along in this week's challenge.
The Sister Site to Word Art Wednesday is Stampin' Sisters in Christ and their challenge this week is being sponsored by Tami Mayberry Stamps. I couldn't resist in playing along. Tami's stamps are absolutely darling. Here is the link to their challenge:

http://www.each-card-tells-a-story.blogspot.com/2012/05/sow-what.html - Scripture Sunday Link-Up #2.  My friend Wendy has a wonderful new scripture link-up and I want to play along in her challenge because she has been such a blessing to us at Word Art Wednesday, and to me personally.

Never fail to trust in Him.  It's the only thing that I can count on 100% of the time.  People with disappoint you, memories will fade, places and situations change, but the love of the Lord is forever. Trust in Him.

Bessings,
Karen

Feeling "Sketchy"

This week, I had the pleasure of discovering Tami Mayberry's Stamps and I absolutely fell in love with them.  I hope you will click on the link and check out all of her adorable stamps.  Tami also founded Card Positioning Systems where you can find all kinds of intriguing and challenging sketches to work with.  I decided to play along in the current challenge there, and really had fun with her sketch.  I'm sure she would love to have you stop by and play along.

I'm also entering this card in the challenge at Simon Says Stamp.

http://www.justjingle.blogspot.com/2012/05/coffee-in-jar-sure.html  - Gift Giving - This card was made for my girlfriend who I love to bicycle with.  Since my foot surgery, I've been unable to bike with her, but I know we will be back out on the road together soon.  I didn't use a Stampendous product on this project, but not because I don't LOVE them.  They truly have amazing products, and I'm sure you could find something lovely if you contact her through her link above.

Yesterday was my first day back in the pool since my surgery, and it felt SO GOOD to swim. I haven't attempted bicycling yet, but I know I'm getting stronger every single day. I guess that being 40 something doesn't lend itself to as quick a recovery as one would like; and especially in the foot. I was encouraged yesterday to know that it's not just me - it's just a slow recovery process.

I thank you for stopping by today, and hope you're all doing well, and that you're counting your blessings.

My Cup Runneth Over

When I first started my blog, I knew that I wanted to call it "My Cup Runneth Over" because of how gracious the Lord has been to me.  I want to let the world know how incredibly grateful I am to Him for all the blessings in my life.  Little did I know back then just how much He would continue to bless me through this little blog of mine.  I have had the opportunity to meet some of the nicest people through crafting, and God has just continued to show me His goodness and provision.  My cup continues to overflow with blessings.  I SO appreciate the kindness of others who share their God-given talents through various outlets, and I give Him ALL the glory for the good things in my life.  I just can't even begin to tell you how many lovely people I've met.  Praise God for continuing to allow my cup to run over with His goodness.
The challenge at JustRite Challenge Blog calls for the use of a shape other than your typical square, and you also have to use JustRite stamps. I  used their Nature's Nested Sentiments Stamp Set and chose to make this house-shaped project.  It holds a photo on the other side, along with hidden journaling.  In their last challenge, I think I was the only one who entered that didn't win ANYTHING.  Talk about disappointment.  So, I'm trying it again.  Here is the link to their challenge.  http://justritestampers.typepad.com/justrite-inspiration/2012/05/justrite-friday-challenge-073-anything-but-square.html - JustRite Friday Challenge #073

I also decided to make a second entry at Papertrey Ink's Blog by Nichole Heady where the challenge is to make your own flowers by cutting a border die from felt and rolling them into rosettes.  I used their heart border and their wool felt.  I just love this soft look.  Here is the link to their challenge.  http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/make-it-monday-66-participants.html%20  - PTI Make it Monday Challenge #66

A favorite challenge every week for me is Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog which is another one I've never won, but trying diligently to achieve.  When at first you don't succeed, try - try again.  Here is their link:  http://www.simonsaysstampschallenge.blogspot.com/2012/05/simon-saysclean-simple.html - Clean and Simple Challenge

I also love the Vintage Simon Says Stamp & Show Challenge Blog.  Here is their link so that you can play along in their challenge.  http://www.simonsaysstampandshow.blogspot.com/2012/05/hello-everybody-thank-you-for-playing.html - Anything Goes

I love the challenges at Pile it On.  Not only do they have awesome sponsors and great inspiration from their Design Team, but you don't have to worry about how many different challenges you enter with your project.  Here is a link to their fun challenge blog:  http://www.pileitonchallenge.blogspot.com/2012/05/pile-it-on-20-clean-and-simple.html - Clean & Simple Challenge

I think that covers it for challenges.  I just really want to express my gratitute to all of you who stop by my little blog each week and leave comments.  It lifts my spirits and encourages me, and I am always happy to do the same for each of you.  I hope you're all enjoying your week, and please let me know if I can pray for you or be of  help to you in any way.  God is SO GOOD for allowing us all to meet and share our art.

My Cup Runneth Over,

Felt Flowers for Friendship Album

This little project is something I made yesterday using some paper bags.  I bound a few paper bags together with my Zutter Bind-it-All and created this little Friendship Album, so the tops open to inset photo tags or a gift.  I don't know yet if I'm going to sell it at one of my craft boutiques, or use it for a friend.  But it sure turned out nicely.  It has a soft, romantic and vintage feel to it.  I used vintage sheet music, MME patterned papers and Melissa Frances stickers among other things.  I'm very happy with the end result.
I made the roses using PTI wool felt and the PTI heart border die.  I originally learned this technique from a post on Melissa Phillips' Blog but hadn't tried it until I saw the tutorial this week on Nichole Heady's Blog for PTI - I'm sure glad I gave it a try.  These flowers are SO beautiful.  If you click on the image, you can see the project up close and really look at the beautiful felt flowers.  You can watch the tutorial, but you basically just roll up the felt borders into these sweet little rosettes.  I also used PTI dies for the leaves, but the brown stem is from Prima.  Here is the link to the Make it Monday Tutorial on Nichole Heady/PTI Blog:

Here are a couple of close-ups from the project:

I am also entering this project in the challenge at Simon Says Stamp Blog where they are looking for Clean & Simple projects.  This project really is fairly simple.  It's easy to make these rosettes.  Here is a link to the challenge at their blog:

Blessings to you,

How Sweet It Is

This is the first week in ages that I haven't entered the challenge at Simon Says Stamp and it's Tuesday evening.  What is wrong with me?  I knew I couldn't let the opportunity to win a gift certificate to their awesome store pass me by, so at the last minute - I made this little card using October Afternoon patterned papers and emphera, and Papertrey Ink ice cream cone die cut and wool felt.
Here is the link to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge.  I naturally chose my greatest weakness in life - ice cream.  I could, in all honesty, live on ice cream.  I'm looking forward to my trip to Minnesota this summer so that I can visit the most amazing ice cream store in Stillwater, Minnesota called Nelsons.  Their "child size" cone is the size of the Grand Canyon (almost), and their ice cream is the best I've ever had - and trust me when I say that I've tasted A LOT of ice cream.

I also want to invite you to play along at Word Art Wednesday as the new challenge starts in the morning, and we would LOVE to have you join us this week.  There is also free word art every week.  We are always happy to meet new friends, and we have another great prize up for grabs this week.  I hope you will check it out.

Have a blessed day, and thanks for stopping by.

Little Wall Hanging

I guess I've had a little wall hanging on my mind lately.  I've seen some really cute ones on various blogs, and since I haven't made one in a while, I thought that rather than a card this time, I would try one.  I took a piece of scrap cardboard, pulled off the top layer exposing the corrugated cardboard.  Then I smoothed out the paper, painted it with acrylic paints, chalked the edges to make it look aged, and then covered it with patterned papers and elements from the Summertime by Simple Stories.

The scripture on this project, used as the focal point, is from Word Art Wednesday and you are welcome to stop by and pick up this free piece of scripture/word art and play along in our current challenge.  We would love to have you join us.

I am entering this wall hanging in a few challenges.

Something Sweet

I feel like I haven't made anything "cute" lately, so I sat down and decided that I had to make something frilly, sweet, soft and "cute".  How can you go wrong with Crafty Secrets die-cuts?  They are just the most adorable images.  This darling little Crafty Secrets image looks a bit like my sweet niece, Alexa.  She lives in Minnesota, so I don't get to see her nearly as much as I would like to, but I really enjoy making things for her.  This is the cover of a mini album so that her Papa (my brother, Andy) can save her Birthday memories in this six-page album.
Here is the link to the Crafty Secrets Blog and their awesome challenge.  Check it out:

This project is also based on a wonderful sketch that you can see on the Sketch Saturday Challenge Blog by clicking on this link:
http://www.sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/2012/05/week-207-12th-may-sponsored-by-simon.html - Sketch Saturday Week #207 May 12 Challenge - This sketch was truly a "challenge" for me trying to figure out just how to cut the angles to make it work.  Well worth the extra effort.

One of my favorites - Simon Says Stamp and Show Vintage Challenge Blog I just can't resist entering this super fun challenge.  Here is the link and information:
http://www.simonsaysstampandshow.blogspot.com/2012/05/hello-everybody-thank-you-for-playing.html - Anything Goes

I'm also entering this project in the May Challenge at My Minds Eye Blog because I really enjoy My Mind's Eye products.  Here is the link to their blog and challenge:
www.mymindseye.typepad.com - May Challenge
I used several My Mind's Eye patterned papers as well as a MME sticker (Date).

What is a "Challenge Blog" if it doesn't challenge you, right?  So, let's just say that I was challenged, but very happy with the end result.  I hope the Design Teams agree with me.  I still need to get busy today on my own Design Team responsibilities.  I hope my "creative juices" are flowing.  Perhaps I better go get another iced coffee to get me through the day.

It's almost 90 degrees right now, and I just want to say that I am grateful to God for air conditioning.  I don't know what I'd do without it, and I honestly feel so bad for anyone that either doesn't have air conditioning or whose air conditioning isn't working.  I haven't hit the point in life when hot flashes set in, but I'm sure not looking forward to it.  For now, I will enjoy the air conditioning.   Ahhhhhh.

Thanks for visiting today!

Postage/Post Card and Favorite Stamp

I saw this challenge at Moxie Fab World and knew right away I wanted to enter this one.  I never win, of course, but it's still fun to play along and to make art anyway.

Here is a link to the challenge at Moxie Fab World.  This is such a fun blog.

I'm also entering (again) at Simon Says Stamp and Show where the current challenge is to use your favorite stamp.  I have so many favorites, how can I choose?  Certainly not just one.  Here is the link to their challenge:

I would love to hear your thoughts on this little project.  I really do hope you're having a great weekend, and I wish you all a very Happy Mother's Day weekend.

Sunny Saturday

It's another beautiful day here in sunny Las Vegas.  Our son has a soccer game today, but I still can't go.  I just LOVE watching him play, but the field where his games are played is on the far back side of the park, which is MUCH too far for me to hobble on my crutches.  And if, heaven forbid, I were to need to use the restroom facilities, they are even farther away yet.  So until I can walk, I must remain at home and cheer him on from the couch.  His team is doing really well again this season.

I was visiting my blog friend, Melissa Bove today and learned about a great challenge over at Crafty Secrets Blog and decided I would play along.  Since I own only one Crafty Secrets stamp set, it was pretty clear to me the theme I had to use.  I used their Material Girl stamp set.  This is my card.

Here is the link to the Crafty Secrets Blog and challenge:

I would like to wish all of you Moms out there a very Happy Mothers' Day.  I know that I will be missing my Mom tomorrow, but will call and visit with her on the phone.  I get to see her in June, and I'm already looking forward our special time together.  If you are unable to be with your Mom tomorrow, for whatever reason, I hope you will take time to thank God for her influence in your life.  If you are blessed enough to be able to spend the day with her, I encourage you to let her know how much you love her.  I love that saying, "Never use time or words carelessly; as they can never be taken back".  Make the most of each day.

Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,

Keepin' it Simple

I know that one of my "signature moves" in scrapbooking and card-making is that I tend to put on a lot of embellishments.  Sometimes I can't leave it alone, and just keep adding on, and on. . . . and on.  So when I saw this challenge at the LawnScaping Challenge Blog I knew I had to take it on.  I need to push myself to create differently sometimes.  I was really inspired by Laurel Beard on this challenge, and wanted to show that I really can "keep it simple" if I try.  I incorporated my card into a total of three different challenges.  This is the card I created, and for me. . . TRUST ME, this is "Keepin' it Simple" for sure.
Here is the link to their challenge so that YOU can play along, too:
http://lawnscaping.blogspot.com/2012/05/lawnscaping-challenge-clean-and-simple.html - LawnScaping Challenge #33 - Keep it Clean and Simple/Sponsored by Simon Says Stamp

I was also completely inspired by the Make it Monday tutorial over at Nicole Heady's Blog/PTI where the tutorial demonstrated a technique to use up some of our patterned paper scraps to create a background.  Well, anyone who knows me at all is aware that I have enough October Afternoon paper to fill the Grand Canyon (almost - LOL).  So, when I saw this awesome tutorial by Dawn McVey, I knew right away that I would use October Afternoon scraps.  Here is a link to the PTI Make it Monday Challenge:
http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2012/05/make-it-monday-65-background-patterns-from-patterned-paper-scraps.html - Make it Monday Challenge #65.  You are required to use at least one PTI product, and for this card I used one of my (many) favorite PTI stamps for the sentiment.

The other challenge I'm entering with this card is the weekly challenge at Simon Says Stamp and Show where you are asked to use your favorite stamp.  It's so hard to pick just ONE "favorite" stamp.  I have so many favorites, but the one I used for this challenge is a sentiment stamp from Papertrey Ink which is always considered a "favorite" in my book.  Here is the link to the challenge at Simon Says:
http://www.simonsaysstampandshow.blogspot.com/2012/05/simon-says-stamp-and-show-your.html - Simon Says Stamp and Show Your Favourite Stamp

Thank you for stopping by to visit, and to take a little peek at my attempt to try "Keepin' it Simple".  I appreciate your sweet comments, and hope you're having a blessed day.

Just Rite - Favorite Stamp

I just got my new stamps in the mail from Just Rite.  One of them was their new background stamp called Grandma's Attic.  I love this vintage looking stamp.  I used it to make this little sewing trinket holder for my Mom.  I took an empty plastic Crystal Light contianer, covered it with the stamped image, then added some wooden buttons with jute, flowers, burlap,  a stick pin, a wooden spool with embroidery floss, a sewing needle, some vintge lace, etc.  Then I filled it with some vintage sewing goodies.

The challenge at Just Rite Challenge Blog is to make a 3D gift item or home decor item.  This little container, made from an empty plastic Crystal Light container, is a gift for my Mom.  I've filled it with some vintage sewing trinkets.  I know she will love to display it on her antique sewing machine, just like I have done here in my photo.  This is Just Rite's gorgeous vintage Grandma's Attic background stamp, which I just love.  Here is a link to their challenge:

Since I just got this stamp set, and am so excited about it. . . .I am also entering this project in the challenge at Simon Says Stamp and Show.  Their current challenge asks you to use your favourite stamp.  Here is a link to their challenge:

I'm also entering, for a second time this week, the challenge at Stampin' Sisters in Christ where the challenge is to use something natural.  I would SO LOVE to win their prize this week.  It's a $15 gift certificate to Our Daily Bread stamps, and I've had my eye on their new seed packet stamp set, but can't quite afford it right now.  Here is a link to their awesome challenge:

I also LOVE Our Daily Bread Stamps, and want so badly to win their challenge so that I can get a set from them, so I entered their awesome challenge in hopes of winning a $15 ODB gift certificate.  Here is a link to their challenge:

I'm so grateful for your visits and comments.  I'm still a little discouraged that it's so difficult for me to get around, but I'm still not quite three weeks post-op.  It's all a slow process.  I hope you're all having a great week.

Blessings,

Natural Beauty

It's always fun trying to combine various challenges together, and meet the guidelines for each.  I particularly wanted to make something for this week's challenge at Stampin' Sisters in Christ which requires the use of something "natural", so I chose to use burlap and twine.  I put a vintage image on the burlap and frayed the edges.  Then, I used Melissa Frances patterned paper and a few embellishments to tie it all together.  Here is what I came up with for this project.

I'm about two and a half weeks post-op now.  I'm just starting to be able to bear some weight on my foot, but I need to remember NOT to over-do it.   This can be frustrating, but when I'm up for too long and my foot turns bright purple, that's a pretty good indication that I need to lay down and elevate it.  I thank those of you who have prayed for me, and I want you to know that I am always MORE than happy to pray for you if you ever need it.  Just let me know, and it would be my pleasure.  God is SO GOOD to give us friends who pray, and for answering our prayers.

Here are the challenges I'm entering with this card.

Stampin' Sisters in Christ - Challenge #138 - Use something "natural" which, in my case, is burlap and twine.  I also want to say welcome and congratulations to their new Design Team members.  It is a blessing and honor to be part of a Challenge Blog that strives to honor God through art.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog Celebrates its 3rd Birthday - So I made this vintage Birthday card to help celebrate with them, and. . . in hopes of winning, of course.

Vintage Card Cafe - This is a lovely little challenge blog based in Russia.  One of my on-line friends, Melissa Phillips is on their Design Team.  I just love their sweet, vintage style, and I really want to win some Russian sentiment stamps so I can make cards for my Russian sister-in-law and friends I have in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Happy Birthday Card

I made this card today for a few different challenges.  I'm now 2 weeks post-op, and it isn't easy sitting at my craft table while trying to elevate my foot.  So, a card that should have taken about 20 minutes ended up taking me most of the afternoon. I will be so glad once I'm "back to normal" and the circulation issues resolve themself.  At least I got it finished.

One of the challenges I'm entering is the one over at Young Crafters Unite where they're having a challenge that requires you to use NO COLORING.  That means no Copics, no colored pencils, no markers, crayons, paints, etc.  So I tried to think about how I could create lots of color but not use any coloring.  I decided to use balloons to bring in the main color and focal point of the card.  Here is their Challenge Photo and a link to their challenge:

The next challenge I'm entering with this card is the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog where they are celebrating their 3rd Birthday.  This is my festive birthday card for their challenge.  Here is a link to their challenge:  http://www.simonsaysstampschallenge.blogspot.com/2012/05/simon-says-stamps-challenge-blog.html - Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog Celebrates Their 3rd Birthday

I am now lounging on the couch, and will probably stay here most of the weekend.  I know I'm starting to kind of "push it", and I really need to take it easy.  I'm just not that strong yet, and I don't want to overdo it and end up being sorry for it.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I look forward to visiting your blog and seeing what you've made this weekend.  Enjoy your visit, and thanks for your sweet comments.

Blessings,
Karen

LOVED this challenge right away.  I distressed the edges of the patterned papers on my card, and I used a Spellbinders Die-Cut for my sentiment.

Die Cut Flowers, Felt and Fun

I just LOVE all things Papertrey Ink and today I made this little card based on their Make it Monday tutorial that you can read all about, and enter, here on Nichole Heady's Blog where you were able to pick from several different color themes.  Here is the color inspiration I chose for my card.

I used Papertrey Ink's gorgeous wool felt in Fine Linen, Aqua Mist, and Berry Sorbet for the flowers mixed with MME papers.  I cut them using Papertrey Ink flower die cuts.  I used the Simply Chartreuse PTI wool felt for the leaves, which i also cut with a PTI die cut.  I used PTI Hawaiian Shores buttons, along with some other vintage buttons.  I made the heart border using another PTI die.  I love ALL their stuff and wish I could own every single thing they make.

I also used MME patterned papers, more PTI products, DMC floss, machine sewing, Jenni Bowlin gem button, and pink tulle.
Here is a list of the challenges I'm entering with this card.

I think that about covers it.  Thanks for stopping by.  I'm just hanging out on the couch trying not to think about my foot.  It sure looks awful.  I will be SO glad when it's healed.  But for now, I just keep praising God for helping me to get through this ordeal.  Crafting really helps keep my mind off the pain.
Have a blessed day.
